What snowscroll costs
snowscroll is one paid app. Every feature is included, there is no free version, and there is no trial. That is a deliberate change and not an oversight, so this page says what it costs and what you get before you spend anything.

Those are the only two things we sell. Both renew automatically until you cancel, and you cancel in your App Store settings rather than by emailing us.
Prices are set in the App Store and vary by country and currency. The price your own App Store shows you is the one that counts.
What you get
Everything. There is no tier above this one and nothing is held back for an upgrade:
- All six apps: Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, X, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
- Every feed surface on each of them, switched off independently. Reels, Shorts, Explore, the For You page, the ranked home feed.
- Per-app daily limits.
- The shield, which catches a habit tap on one of those apps and lands you in snowscroll with the feed already gone.
- Trends, which shows the time you have reclaimed and what it is worth at your own hourly rate.
snowscroll asks for Screen Time permission during setup, because that is what lets the shield catch the tap. We never see a Screen Time number, and the permission is not used to report on you. There is more on this in what to expect.
There is no free version
snowscroll used to have a free tier and a seven day trial. Neither exists now. One paid app with everything in it is the whole model, and we would rather you knew that before you downloaded than after.
If you want to try something at no cost first, that is a fair thing to want, and our roundup of the category lists tools that are genuinely free. We say so there.
Referral codes
Referral codes still grant free days. If someone sends you one, it works, and it is the only way to use snowscroll without paying for it.
If you had snowscroll before
Anyone who had the app before this change gets 30 days of everything, free. You will see a note in the app at 7 days, at 3 days, and on the last day. It is a thank-you for being early rather than a trial, and nothing is taken away from you during it.
How to cancel
- Open Settings on your iPhone.
- Tap your name at the top.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Tap snowscroll, then Cancel Subscription.
You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Refunds
Apple handles billing, so Apple handles refunds. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. If something is wrong with the app itself, tell us and a real person will read it.

Is there a free version of snowscroll?
No. There is no free version and no free tier. snowscroll is a paid app and every feature is included in the price.
Is there a free trial?
No. There is no trial. The only way to use snowscroll without paying is a referral code, which grants free days.
How much does snowscroll cost?
$49.99 a year, which is about $4.16 a month, or $9.99 a month. Both renew automatically until you cancel.
Is there a lifetime option?
Not any more. We used to sell one and we no longer do. Anyone who already bought lifetime access keeps it.
Why does snowscroll ask for Screen Time permission?
So the shield can work. When you tap Instagram out of habit, the shield catches that and lands you in snowscroll with the feed already gone. It needs Screen Time permission to see the tap. We never see a Screen Time number.
How do I cancel?
In Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then snowscroll, then Cancel Subscription. You keep access until the period you have paid for runs out.
Is there an Android version?
Not yet. snowscroll is iPhone only for now, and you can join the Android waitlist to hear when that changes.
